Folder #51 contains information about Civil War soldiers from Ludlow, Vermont, including a list of 21 recruits in Ludlow for Co. I, 2nd Vermont Infantry Regiment in September and October 1861 that gives the name, residence, age, height, hair color, eye color, complexion, where born, and occupation of each recruit; a list of men who served in the various Vermont military organizations during the Civil War; a list of men enlisted in Ludlow from September 9 to October 7, 1861 that includes those men killed, wounded, died of disease, and deserters. Folder #52 contains a two piece recruiting circular for Co. I, 2nd Vermont Infantry Regiment dated May 17, 1861 in Ludlow and signed by Volney S. Fullam. Glued to the back are the minutes of an unidentified reunion of Co. I.
