Photocopies of minutes from meetings of the Addison and Bridport Thief Detecting Society covering the years 1986 to 2001; newspaper articles dating from 1966 to 1994 about the Society, and a copy of the constitution and bylaws of the Society. The collection also includes "A Study of The Addison and Bridport Thief Detecting Society" by Bob Wallace written in 1986.

The Addison and Bridport Thief Detecting Society was organized on December 16, 1816 "...to prevent all kinds of theft and to pursue and bring to justice any person or persons that shall steal property from any member." By 1947, active pursuit of thieves had ceased. However, the Society still meets annually, alternating between Addison and Bridport, Vermont.
