This collection consists mainly of the business records of the Two Penny Circus of Montpelier, Vt. Included in the collection are booking sheets, engagement contracts, theater contracts, confirmations, and related correspondence. Also included are promotional materials, thank-you notes from appreciative children, and materials from three State Arts Councils.

Biographical or historical data :

The Two Penny Circus was established in 1978 by a group of twelve former Goddard College students and continued under the artistic direction of Donny Osman until late 1982. The company began in Plainfield, Vt., later moved to Barre, Vt., and, finally, located in Montpelier in 1981, the same year changing its name to the Two Penny Theater. The company performed its mime, clown, and mask shows throughout the eastern United States.
