Daybook of master blacksmith J. S. Currier covering the dates April 14, 1841 to October 2, 1845. As well, written inside the front cover is a bet relating to the building of a railroad from Concord, New Hampshire to Burlington, Vermont, dated September 13, 1843.

Biographical or historical data :

James Stinson Currier was born in Dunbarton, New Hampshire on November 19, 1811, the son of Abel and Sally (Quimby) Currier. James was a master black smith and carriage building, first in Concord, New Hampshire and later in Norwich, Vermont. He died April 9, 1896 in Hartford, Vermont.
