The diary resumes on April 1877 with a short synopsis of the previous eight years, when Tabor was a minister in Norway, Maine. The next entry is dated April 2, 1878 and continues on until September 1, 1890.

Biographical or historical data :

Reverend Lemuel H. Tabor was born in Topsham, Vermont on December 3, 1809, the son of Lemuel and Nancy (Hutchins) Tabor. He married Deborah Curtis on November 27, 1837 and was ordained as a Universalist minister in 1838. As a minister, Tabor served in many communities in Central Vermont and in the Northeast Kingdom, including Lyndon, Burke, Charleston and Concord. He also served on the Vermont Legislature from Concord, Vermont from 1860-1862 and as a senator from 1864-1865. Lemuel H. Tabor died in Maine in 1890.
