Summary :

Two record books from the Baptist Church of Danville, Vermont. The first volume covers the dates 1792 to 1834, and the second volume covers the dates 1833 to 1841. The first volume contains the minutes of the first meeting to form the church, including the first covenant. Both volumes contain minutes of meetings and letters of admonition.

Biographical or historical data :

The Baptist Church of Danville was founded on September 23, 1792. Isaac Root was the first pastor of the church. The church was without a pastor from 1799-1807. Other pastors include Samuel Wakefield, Lewis D. Fisher, Israel D. Newell and M. D. Miller. After 1852 the name of the church disappeared from the minutes of the Danville Association.
