Biographical or historical data :

The Congregational Church in Hinesburgh was formed by Rev. Nathan Perkins while on a missionary trip through Vermont. It was organized on May 20, 1789 with eleven members. A church building was constructed in 1811 and rebuilt in brick in 1837. Services were held until 1915, when the Congregationalists, Baptists, and Methodists combined in a federation, forming the United Church.
