Biographical or historical data :

Frank J. Hinds was born in Brandon, Vermont, in 1876, and died in Attleboro, Massachusetts, in 1959. In 1918 he married Miriam Collins (1890-1968), of Ferrisburgh, Vermont. His father, Edward Dyer Hinds (1834-1911), ran a farm in an area of Pittsford, Vermont known as Fowler, Vermont. Frank worked on the farm, taking it over in 1898 and specializing in breeding and training Morgan horses. He also served as a lister in Pittsford. After World War I he shifted into dairy farming, but because of poor health he sold his cattle in 1925. He sold the farm in 1934, and he and Miriam moved first to Rutland, Vermont in 1945, then to Essex Center, Vermont in 1950, then to Brandon, Vermont, and finally, in 1957, to Attleboro, Massachusetts, to live with daughter Edwina and her husband, Harry Abel Way.

Frank and Miriam had two children, Frank J., Jr. (b. 1923), who married Mae Hendley and then Jean Phillips, and Edwina Laura Hinds (b. 1926), married to Harry Abel Way (b. 1920) of Burlington, Vermont.
