James W. Doud (September 1, 1782-1829?) was probably born in New Haven, Vermont. He married Abigail Hall (April 17, 1792- ),who was born in Rutland, Vermont. He moved to Granville, Ohio by March 17, 1817. Their children were: Monroy M. (1814- ), Phidelia (October 31, 1816- ), Susan L. (August 20, 1818- ), Douglas D. (December 2, 1821- ), Lenora L. (November 10, 1824- ).
