Frank Edmond Cross was born in 1848 at Colchester, Vt. He enlisted in the Union Army on January 5, 1865, for a one-year period. He is listed as an unassigned recruit in the "Revised Roster of Vermont Volunteers, 1861-1866", and was discharged at New Haven, Conn., on January 26, 1865. He died of tuberculosis on September 1, 1900, at Williamstown, Vt., and was buried in the Williamstown Village Cemetery.
