Civil war letter from Frank Fletcher, of the 13th Vermont Regiment, May 31, 1864. Also included is a letter from E. M. Bradley of the 6th Vermont Regiment, November 28, 1864; and a letter from an unidentified member of the U. S. Christian Commission describing a visit to Richmond, Va., May 7, 1865.

Biographical or historical data :

Edward M. Bradley, of Marshfield, Vt., enlisted as a Private in Co. F, 6th Vermont Regiment, on September 25, 1861, and was wounded at Savage's Station, Va., on June 29, 1862.. On December 25, 1863, he re-enlisted. He was listed as a deserter on August 23, 1864, but returned to his unit on October 17 of that year. He was transferred to Co. A effective October 16, 1864, and was promoted to Corporal on November 1, 1864. He was promoted to Sergeant on June 19, 1865, and was discharged from service on June 26, 1865.
