Biographical or historical data :

Henry Augustus Mitchell, of Pittsford, Vt., enlisted as a Private in Co. G, 5th Vermont Regiment, on September 2, 1861. He was killed in action on June 29, 1862, at Savage's Station, Va. His body was returned to Vermont for burial in Evergreen Cemetery at Pittsford.
