Biographical or historical data :

Oren G. Chase of St. Johnsbury, Vt., was a sergeant in Co. of the 11th Vermont Regiment. He was promoted to 1st sergeant, May 20, 1863, then to 2nd lieutenant June 30, 1864. He was taken prisoner June 23, 1864 and paroled November 26, 1864. May 23, 1865 he was commissioned 1st lieutenant. He transferred to Co. C June 24, 1865, and was mustered out August 24, 1865.
