Howard, Concord, Vt., while a prisoner at Danville Prison, Va., August 4 and September 14, 1864. Also included is a discharge for William E. Howard of Kirby, Vt., from Co. K of the 15th Vermont Regiment, August 15, 1863.

William Elmore Howard from Concord, Vt., was mustered into the 17th Vermont Regiment, Co. G, April 12, 1864. He was taken prisoner July 30, 1864 and died at Danville, Va., December 4, 1864.
