Peter M. Abbott of Barnet, Vt., was born May 27, 1843. He enlisted in the Third Vermont Regiment, Co. K, on August 12, 1862. He was wounded June 3, 1864, promoted to corporal and sergeant in 1864, and mustered out June 19, 1865.
