The Edwin E. Bagley papers include a photocopy of an article about his life from the "Monadnock Observer," May 26, 1984; photocopies of pictures of the bandstand dedicated to his memory, 1979, by the Greater Keene Chamber of Commerce; and a typescript of his obituary.

Biographical or historical data :

Born in Craftsbury, Vt. in 1857, Bagley was a musician, conductor, teacher, and composer; he is best known for his military march, "The National Emblem" (1905). He was associated with Keene, N.H., most of his professional life. He died in 1922.
